The Process

the farm

6/27/2018

'In the Bleak Midwinter' is set on a snowy farm in the Catskills. Playwright Dorothy Lyman pulled inspiration from her own life on, what once was, a 200 cow dairy farm. Instead of cows, Lyman spent her time on the farm caring for hens and horses and enjoying life under the stars beaming from the clear sky above. While watching the play one might get a sense of "simpler times" as they witness one woman's fight to keep her legacy on her family's precious farm alive.
